My name is Mrs. Susan Norris. I have a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Incarnate Word and a Master of Education degree from Wayland Baptist University. I have been with the School of Excellence in Education since September 1998. I taught Kindergarten before I was chosen to be the Principal here at the Judge Carmen Kelsey Pre-K Academy in August 2005.

 

You have to be passionate about what you do and sometimes it is a challenge but I love my job, the staff, and most of all the children. The children come to us from all cultures and backgrounds, some not having been to any type of school, or having been away from the parents for more than 2 hours. It then becomes our job for the next nine months to mold them and shape them into who they need to become socially, mentally, emotionally, and academically to be ready to enter Kindergarten. The end results are well worth the effort put forth by the staff.
